The short version: this site collects almost nothing. There are no accounts and no uploads — the design tools process your files entirely on your own device. The only data that leaves your browser is standard website analytics, advertising cookies from Google AdSense, and anything you choose to send through the contact form.

rhys-muirhead.com.au is operated by Rhys Muirhead (ABN 88 006 018 110), Australia. You can reach me any time via the contact form.
What this site does not do
- No user accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletters.
- No file uploads. Every tool on the tools page — including the AI background remover — runs locally in your browser using WebGL, WebGPU and on-device AI. Your images and files never leave your computer.
- No sale or sharing of personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
Information collected automatically
Server logs
Like almost every website, the hosting provider (Bluehost) records standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operational purposes. These are not used to identify individual visitors.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — which pages are visited,
approximate region, device type, and how the tools are used (feature-level events only, never
file contents). Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish visits.

Advertising (Google AdSense)
This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

Contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you provide are sent to me by email so I can reply. They are not stored in a website database, are not used for marketing, and are not shared with anyone else. You can ask me to delete any conversation at any time.
Local browser storage (on-device AI)
To avoid re-downloading large files, your browser may store the background-removal AI model (about 450 MB) in IndexedDB, plus small settings in local storage. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted, and can be cleared at any time via your browser's "clear site data" function.
Your rights
Australia: under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) you may request access to, or correction of, personal information held about you, and may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy has been breached.
EEA, UK and Switzerland: under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Because this site processes so little data, most requests can be handled quickly — just use the contact form.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page always shows the current version.
